Designing for snowmelt
At Pinewood the ground floods every April. Lifting the house 90 cm on screw piles solved it and gave us a better house.

Snowmelt is not a problem to drain away. It is a season to design for.
Lift, don’t fight
Screw piles take a day to install, leave no concrete in the dune and can be removed in fifty years.
